Introducing the Kaarigar Seed Fund

In 2023, Karigar Clinic took a step to address this issue by launching the Kaarigar Seed Fund. This initiative aims to accelerate the journey of artisan entrepreneurs by providing them with essential financial support. The fund not only empowers artisans to start or expand their businesses but also fosters an environment of self-sustainability and collective growth within the artisan community. This fund specifically caters to our Business Wellness Program.

How it works?

The Kaarigar Seed Fund is fueled by the generosity of organizations and individuals who recognize the transformative power of artisan entrepreneurship. Anyone can contribute to the fund, becoming an active participant in sponsoring artisans.

Artisans, on the other hand, have the opportunity to apply for the fund throughout the year. A dedicated committee thoroughly assesses their needs and determines the appropriate amount and timing for disbursement. By tailoring the support to individual requirements, the fund ensures that artisans can maximize its impact on their businesses.

Fostering a cycle of giving

The Kaarigar Seed Fund operates on a unique principle of giving back. Artisans who benefit from the fund are requested to consider contributing a portion of the amount back to the fund after a few years.
